Delhi full of scammers, especially if your a foreigner, started from airport taxi scam, hotel scam, ticket scam at New Delhi train station. Basically everywhere in the center of Delhi, you walk and you will meet at least 5 scammers in one-hour.
They actually got a pretty big system there of how to scam ppl. For example, you go to new Delhi railway station and on the entrance some guy who looks official stops u and ask for tickets. If you tell you want to buy one he said you can’t buy here you have to go to the government tourist office for that and show you the direction.
On that road some tuk-tuk guy comes to u and tells you he will bring you to that office for like 30 rupees then he brings you there and it said its government office but in fact it not. And they won’t sell you tickets they will try to sell you whole tours 5 times more expensive.
When you decide not to buy and go out then after some time some other person approaches you to like just for a talk, in fact, he will again recommend you the same shop so all those ppl – they r not random tuk tuk guy or random passerby they r all involved in the same scam scheme. But you may think they’re not connected. The net is built quite tight to catch some tourists and fish out their money.
