I went to Moscow in August, and overall I had an amazing time. The only thing that let it down was the ballet show.
I really wanted to experience everything that Moscow had to offer and that included the ballet. Unfortunately, I let me guard down and bought a couple of tickets from a tour.
He assured me the seats were great; he even had a little plan of the seats inside the theatre. But, they were possibly the worst seats. A pillar was in front of me.
An experience that cost a lot.

This really used to be a big problem for those who wanted to visit theatres in Moscow or St. Pits. When you buy tickets “from hands” you will never know, what seat you’ll get. Locals know this quite well. So if you want to avoid this it is better to book a ticket on the official website of the theatre. But get ready to book it in advance: at least 2-3 months before you come to Russia. The tickets are usually sold out very quickly.
