Nothing feels good like having relatives in every sphere of the earth. I happen to have an aunt living in Tanzania, Tarime area. Just a few kilometers from Dodoma town. Tanzanians are believed to be soft spoken among the whole of the East African Community. This is a notion that has got so many on the rough side of some of the Tanzanians.
I remember the day like yesterday it was December 20th, 2017 when we planned to pay our aunt a visit. As a family this would be a great opportunity for the family to come together after that long. The first part of the journey was just awesome with not so many stop overs. To be honest, most of the guys we met while travelling were soft spoken and their faces showed innocence. This prompted me to chat freely with one of the passengers in the bus heading to Tarime, the guy was so calm and composed that at one point I mistook him for a pastor or being related to a pastor.
I got so comfortable that I found myself dozing off(sleeping). After all it was a long journey and so I had to rest. To cut the long story short, the guy(name withheld due to anonymity) alighted at a terminal while I was still asleep with my camera that I had hanged around my neck, I still do not know how he got the courage to get it off my neck without being noticed. No one noticed the act.
That’s why anytime I do travel I make sure I do not get so comfortable with everyone, we can never judge by outward appearances every time.
