When travelling around Europe
for the first time you sometimes forget that not every country has Euros... and not everything is available to pay by card, so you need to find an ATM to take out some local currency. Besides the usual tourist trap ATMs that charge you ridiculous fees and high conversion percentages (ALWAYS go to a Bank's ATM), I had two of my cards cloned on an ATM. I've heard the tales before, the would be thief places a device where you place your card in the ATM, and it steals your card's details. You use the ATM normally and don't notice anything wrong, but a few days later you find out your credit cards all maxed out. I dismissed this as something too elaborated to actually pay attention to, but when I took money out in Prague
I had this unfortunate experience with both cards I used on an ATM next to the Old Town Square.
