How it works:
- Version 1: advertising a price without specifying currency. When it comes to paying, claim that is in USD and not Bajan dollars.
- Version 2: shortchanging you and claiming that the price is higher than what was advertised (e.g. your rum is stronger than usual, so you pay more!).
Places to beware:
- Anywhere (e.g. Bridgetown: Carlisle Bay)
What to do:
- Always clarify price and currency before paying. If you only have large notes, check that the vendor has change.
