In Malaysia, you can visit beautiful beaches, explore tropical jungles take in amazing street food scenes as well as explore the vibrant metropolis that is Kuala Lumpur.

However, one needs to be wary of crime (e.g. bike snatch thefts, car break-ins) and some tourist targeted scams.

Note: vast majority of trips are trouble free and there is no need to be paranoid. That said, it always pays to be aware, careful, and prepared.
